Organisational structure

Lupe [1]

UWI has a group of speakers, who are responsible for all activities of the research training group and for representing it externally. The speakers are assisted by the coordinator and the administration secretary organising all activities. The internal steering committee (ISC) consists of the speakers, two professors, the coordinator and the speakers of the doctoral students. The internal steering committee decides on all UWI activities (including study and research programme, visiting scientist programme), discusses problems, critically evaluates its success, and formulates ideas to advance the programme. The external advisory board consists of scientists not involved in UWI or who are only involved to a small extent, local stakeholders and representatives of the water engineering practice. It observes UWI’s development and progress, advises on scientific questions and directions, and enhances links to the stakeholders and the water engineering practice for the fast transfer of research results.
