AGU Fall Meeting
As part of the initiative 'Research in Germany' UWI was present at the boot 'Geosciences and Environmental Sciences in Germany'at the AGU Fall Meeting 2016 in San Francisco.
ERC Starting Grant for Gabriel Singer
Dr. Gabriel Singer, leader of the research group 'Ecology of Stream Ecosystems' at the IGB, Berlin and supervisor within UWI has received an ERC starting grant 2016 in Life Sciences.

From 14 - 16 September 2016 an UWI delegation consisting of the UWI doctoral students students Mikael Gillefalk, Robert Ladwig, Clara Romero and Katharina Teuber and the UWI speaker Prof. Reinhard Hinkelmann joined the 'VI Deutsch-Russischen Woche des Jungen Wissenschaftlers an der Technischen Universität für Bauwesen' in Moscow.
